Never take the Goldenrod train alone at night unless you wanna end up in the middle of a desert in Arceus-knows-where. Buster made it through unscathed, but Hematite's pokeball is nowhere and Aspen's looking mighty different and can talk. She said she's a Digimon and we're in the Digital World now, and I would say she probably drank some of that old Moo Moo Milk I threw out the other day, but since I'm here with 'er and the Digidex my phone turned into says plain as day that she's no longer an Ekans, I think it's safe to say that we're not in Johto anymore. (That train had a face for heaven's sake!)

Are there any other Digimon trainers out there readin' this that could help a lost culinary student find civilization? The train station booted me out 'cause I don't have any bits or whatever. While I can't pay, I could whip up a meal or two out of gratitude if I'm given the proper ingredients.

(By the way, the meat rations this thing pumps out? Is the worst stuff ever. Needs more tenderization an' marination.)

EDIT: Upon finding other people from around where I live, an introduction is in order.

Name's Nadia Spier. I grew up in Sinnoh, but last time I was in my regular place I was a culinary student studying in Johto and a trainer of serpentine Pokemon in my free time. My Ekans turned into a Digimon, my Onix is missing, and my Zangoose (...just don't ask) appears to be just who 'e usually is.

Another trainer here? I hope that's a good thing.

I'm Zoey. You okay?
Nadia Spier: unsuresnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 12:28 am (UTC)
So there are others?

Ah, the name's Nadia. I just got here, and I'm a little.... stranded, so to speak. Don't have any extra money on me. Not every day that I board a train and wind up somewhere completely different than my intended destination.
Zoey Mitchellcrimson_contest on May 23rd, 2008 12:37 am (UTC)
Yes. A friend of mine Ash Ketchum is here and few friends of his as well. My Black Leormon used to be my Glameow.

Same thing happened to me when I wound up in Neon City.
Nadia Spier: unsuresnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 12:44 am (UTC)
...Intriguing.

As completely bizarre as this whole thing is, I guess there's a little consolation in knowing some people from my world around.
Zoey Mitchell: Ready to Helpcrimson_contest on May 23rd, 2008 12:47 am (UTC)
Yeah it is refreshing to know that others from your world is here. Word of advice, you never want to go to Neon City, trust me.
Nadia Spier: smilesnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 12:51 am (UTC)
Thanks for the tipoff; I'll keep it in mind.
Zoey Mitchell: Ready to Helpcrimson_contest on May 23rd, 2008 12:55 am (UTC)
No problem. We trainers have to stick together.
Molly Hale: alriiiiiiight!queenofcrystal on May 23rd, 2008 12:28 am (UTC)
Never take the Goldenrod train alone at night is a ground rule! Funny that your partner knew where we are, though, Kumamon had no idea after he evolved from my Teddiursa.

It's not a digidex, by the way, it's a digivice, and this one's called the D-Comm. And my name's Molly, while I'm at it :D

Where are you? Your D-Comm's got a map.
Nadia Spier: nervoussnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 12:40 am (UTC)
B-but I've never been to Johto until this year! Took me a month to find my way around Goldenrod. u_u As for Aspen.. well, we've been together for Arceus knows how long and I still can't figure out half the things that go through her head.

Digivice, D-COMM, gotcha. Now where am I... where am I... ah! Goc Desert.

You can call me Nadia. Thanks for the lowdown.

((OOC: Strikes totally readable 'cause it's taking her forever to fiddle with the D-COMM. |D))
Molly Hale: D:queenofcrystal on May 23rd, 2008 02:48 am (UTC)
Johto's my home. :D

Ugh, that place is awful! Do you want me to come find you, or do you think you'd be okay if I just sent you a way out?
Nadia Spier: happysnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 03:57 am (UTC)
Ah, I don't want to be a burden to you so I'd be grateful for a way to any civilization.

Any way I could repay you?
Molly Hale: ^-^queenofcrystal on May 23rd, 2008 04:56 am (UTC)
Use your map to find the lightpost, and then use this data. It'll bring you to Tetha, which is this floating city in the sky kind of like Goldenrod but laid out less confusingly.

Oh, it's okay; that's what trainers do, help each other out!

[Attached is the lightpost data for Tetha.]
Jimmy: Surprised and Shockedgolden_hero on May 23rd, 2008 12:38 am (UTC)
Hiya. Name's Jimmy from New Bark Town. Sounds like you got on board a Trailmon. Coronamon told me about them once I think. Nice to meet you.
Nadia Spier: uhsnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 12:49 am (UTC)
...so the trains are alive after all? Well, there's something that'll keep me off of the bullet trains in Johto for a while.

I'm Nadia. I'm actually from Sinnoh, but I am- well, I was attending culinary school in Goldenrod 'til I wound up here.
Jimmy: You Rock!golden_hero on May 23rd, 2008 12:53 am (UTC)
Weird but true. You'll find nothing really phases you here. Whether its the people or the digimon, or whatever. Things are never quiet around the Digital World.

That's cool. You mean like Pokeblock and Poffin?
Nadia Spier: happysnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 01:03 am (UTC)
Yep! Grew up around Hearthome City baking poffins since my parents are involved with the contest hall they've got there. Not so great at makin' Pokeblocks, but I like to try my hand at 'em and hope to improve. I think my life goal is to prepare cuisines that both humans and Pokemon can enjoy. Though to be honest, poffins an' blocks reeeeally don't taste that bad to me.
Jimmygolden_hero on May 23rd, 2008 01:16 am (UTC)
I don't really know that much about Poffins except for what my friend Marina told me. Something to help with Contests, I think. Me, I'm a battler. I'd rather get involved in straight forward battle myself.
Nadia Spier: happysnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 01:22 am (UTC)
That's the spirit! More of a battler myself, though I've tried a few contests and they weren't exactly my forte.

Pleasure to meet 'ya.
Jimmygolden_hero on May 23rd, 2008 01:26 am (UTC)
Me too. Though most of the pokemon I have aren't with me (their pokeballs are missing except for Typhloion's and Beedrill's) and are from Johto.

You too.
Ash Ketchum: Best Friends...pallet_townhero on May 23rd, 2008 02:05 am (UTC)
Wow...a Pokemon trainer I haven't met yet! I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town! It's nice to meet you.

You live in Sinnoh? I was there trying to earn badges before I showed up here! That's where I met Zoey, a Pokemon Coordinator.
Nadia Spier: smilesnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 03:39 am (UTC)
Nice to meet you too, and yep, I come right outta Hearthome City! Hope your stay in Sinnoh has been a pleasant one; I haven't tried my hand at earning badges yet, but I hope to give it a shot whenever I get the chance.

Zoey's a Coordinator? Looks like some of us have plenty of common ground.
Ash Ketchum: Let's Do This...!pallet_townhero on May 23rd, 2008 03:47 am (UTC)
It was great. I'd already earned myself two badges and competed in the Tag team battle tournament...with someone who's attitude can use a major adjustment!

I still can't believe we won it...!

Yeah, some of my closest friends are either Coordinators or Gym Leaders. ^^
Hinata Hyuga: Shy Smileshywhiteyes on May 23rd, 2008 02:46 am (UTC)
A-Ah, h-hello. N-Nice to meet you Nadia-san. I'm Hinata, and my partner is Plotmon.

Nice to meet you as well. ^^
Nadia Spier: smilesnake_n_bake on May 23rd, 2008 03:46 am (UTC)
Aw, hello to you two as well! A lot of people here seem so nice an' helpful; I think I might like it here.

My Poke- well, Digimon partner isn't very talkative, but she extends her thanks for such a warm welcome as well.
