Hot damn, I'm flattened.

Never thought this job could knock the wind right outta me. D: And yet it feels so good.

So, I joined the DATS support staff.

Burgermon's place really wasn't bad at all (I really liked it there, honest!), but in light of the recent events I've been hearing of, I feel like I can be more useful here even if I am just gonna help feed some hungry mouths and clean a lotta dishes. A culinary student has to start off somewhere; I'll prove my worth as a cook one of these days!

So, I've been alive an' workin'. I've mostly been doing some waitressing for now, but whenever they need an extra hand at cooking they've pulled me into the kitchen, so I can't complain.

In fact, I gotta run now. Catch 'ya later!

[sound of a button press, but the recording keeps on going. Eventually, a chopping sound is heard.]

Nadia, why so many different cheeses? I thought there was only two kinds: white and yellow.

Pftt. Are you kidding? There's tons of different kinds of cheese with various textures an' tastes! 'Ya can't have three-cheese dishes with only two.

And you have *six* out on the table.

The more cheese, the better! You've gotta combine the mildness of cheddar an' jack and the creaminess of mozzarella for a perfect cheese harmony... though I gotta say Muenster's my personal fave. [the sound of chewing] Mmm. Ahh, don't worry, I bought this m'self. Anyhow, then you can't forget your bleu cheese or even parmesan for the salads!

Now you're just talking nonsense.

Aw, c'mon Aspen. Just 'cause you haven't even eaten cheese doesn't mean you gotta rag on it!

[music starts to cue from nowhere]Collapse )

[sigh] You *do* realize that your D-Comm is still recording, correct?

Whaaaat? ...Oh, for the love of--! [STATIC, end transmission]

So, thanks to some kind trainers here, I've made way to civilization and I'm a little more in sync with the goings on. You're the best!

Now to go job huntin' in hopes that some restauraunt will pick me up in exchange for food- c'mon, you can't expect me to live off of this awful meat and poffins the whole time.

Never take the Goldenrod train alone at night unless you wanna end up in the middle of a desert in Arceus-knows-where. Buster made it through unscathed, but Hematite's pokeball is nowhere and Aspen's looking mighty different and can talk. She said she's a Digimon and we're in the Digital World now, and I would say she probably drank some of that old Moo Moo Milk I threw out the other day, but since I'm here with 'er and the Digidex my phone turned into says plain as day that she's no longer an Ekans, I think it's safe to say that we're not in Johto anymore. (That train had a face for heaven's sake!)

Are there any other Digimon trainers out there readin' this that could help a lost culinary student find civilization? The train station booted me out 'cause I don't have any bits or whatever. While I can't pay, I could whip up a meal or two out of gratitude if I'm given the proper ingredients.

(By the way, the meat rations this thing pumps out? Is the worst stuff ever. Needs more tenderization an' marination.)

EDIT: Upon finding other people from around where I live, an introduction is in order.

Name's Nadia Spier. I grew up in Sinnoh, but last time I was in my regular place I was a culinary student studying in Johto and a trainer of serpentine Pokemon in my free time. My Ekans turned into a Digimon, my Onix is missing, and my Zangoose (...just don't ask) appears to be just who 'e usually is.
